Draped Dress & Metallic Detailing

For the longest time now, London has setting up Christmas decorations, but my festive spirit didn't really kick in until December came around.
This entire winter, I've been drawn to cool tones, and the holidays is no exception. Don't get me wrong though, I'm all about the perfect warm and cozy outfit for Christmas, but before I do that, my instinct always tells me to go for the edgy outfit first.

This outfit is something a little different. When it all came together, I thought it was pretty much the most ideal outfit for any occasion.
I think this outfit is very versatile. I could even change the leather jacket for a blazer, and it would instantly be smart chic. Change up the outerwear, or keep the leather jacket, and I could see myself going on a dinner date, office party, girl's night out, and maybe even a dinner get-together. The possibilities are endless.
I bought this dress recently from Urban Outfitters when I was back in NYC. When I first picked the dress off the rack, I thought it was way too long for my petite figure. However, it wasn't something a belt couldn't fix.
The dress has a gorgeous draped detailing that shows a bit of skin. However, after belting the dress, the slit became a little too risqué and scandalous. I threw on a black skirt to cover up some skin. The added skirt is definitely something different and the change of color from grey to black under the draped detailing makes the outfit so much more unique.
I can never resist some good silver metallic accents (just wait until you see the shoes). While all the detail of the dress is focused on the bottom half, I thought the top was a little understated. I usually go with dainty necklaces, but I thought this dress needed a bold accessory. This statement necklace from Zara has gorgeous lavender and sky blue accents with intricate details that go perfectly with the cool tone of the dress.
And finally, these shoes . . . from the sleek heel to the the gradient from black to metallic silver, everything about these shoes is breath-taking. I picked up these gorgeous heels from Jimmy Choo. It was love at first sight. These are the pair of heels if you want to make someone do a double take. I'm not going to lie though, they are a bit hard to walk in -like come on, like at how tall these Although I definitely would not be walking for hours in these shoes, these are definitely my go-to heels for any special occasion. Plus, they're on SALE now! So if you like them, go whip them up. <3
Happy Holidays!!
