A Pop of Plaid

I love wearing black (especially black jeans), but that doesn't mean I can't break that habit once in a blue moon. I decided to sport a pair of white jeans recently, which resulted in a monochromatic outfit.  I had paired my white jeans with a white top, but even in my distinct effort to wear something other than black, I finished off my outfit with black numbers. I wore my black heeled booties from J.Crew and faux shearling jacket from Piperlime. I had previously raved about how happy I was to have found this jacket and you can see how I styled his jacket in a previous post - Ripped Jeans and Shearling Jackets
While a monochromatic outfit is always my go-to, I decided to spice it up again. Can you see I'm making an effort for some changes? I went with something a little different with the white jeans, so I decided to go with something a little different than an ordinary black-and-white outfit. To add a pop of color to my whole ensemble, I went with this plaid scarf from Madewell. Plaid flannels are the perfect fall piece, but it's hard to incorporate the print under heavy jackets in the winter. Thus, a pop of plaid in a scarf is a perfect way to add the print to your outfit in the colder seasons.
