Carefree Weekend

One of my favorite spots in New York City isn't in Manhattan itself, but rather in Brooklyn. Sure, the concrete jungle is full of life and opportunities and its a beauty in of itself, but I truly don't think you can appreciate the city's beauty in its entirety without looking at her from afar.

The city's soaring skyscrapers can be seen from almost anywhere, but the best spot to sit and stare at the amazing skyline is in the Brooklyn Heights or Dumbo area of Brooklyn - maybe I'm a little biased because I already live in Brooklyn but you will not regret it for a moment if you go. And if you're a big foodie, go during the weekend for good food and good views at Smorgasburg.

For my outfit, I went with something simplistic and carefree. It was the weekend after all. I opted for this bohemian white dress from Aritzia. It's loose fitting with a tassel tie on the top which I adore. To streamline my body because of the loose fit, I tied a button up around my waist that acts as the perfect coverup when it gets a little cooler at night. Lastly, I opted for a pair of wedge clog sandals that were insanely comfortable. All in all, it was the perfect outfit for a carefree weekend - to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still being able to admire it from a distance.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!
