The Best of #NYFW | Sandy Liang

With New York Fashion Week comes a lot of runway shows and presentations. It can get a little overwhelming to follow all the brands so I've tallied up some of the best SS '16 collections from #NYFW. First up, Sandy Liang! She's an emerging designer based in Downtown NYC. Her collection probably reflects my style the most and I am not ashamed to say that I want everything from this collection.

I'm actually quite in love with all her jackets. Top of the list is this embroidered leather moto jacket. In love with the touch of feminine flowers on such tough piece. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for that piece because it needs to be in my closet now. I also love how she styled the jacket with a feminine off-the-shoulder top and gingham shorts for a splash of pattern. Probably one of my more favorite looks this whole season. Simple, feminine, and edgy all in one outfit.

If you've been following my blog for a while, I love a good bare back. How sexy does that look? Also, it's white, which is a no brainer for me. Love. ✔️
The suede duster trench is also another beautiful piece. Suede is definitely making a statement this season and to make a trench coat out of it is just brilliant. A suede piece like this can add so much texture to an outfit in all the right ways.
Something a little more neutral and subdued compared to the rest of her collection is this look. I love the navy detailing that pops out in comparison to the neutral beige. The dress also brings back a 70-80s look that is all the rage now, but what I like about this piece is the big buttons in the front with a little cutout.
Bell sleeves usually aren't my favorite, but something about the combination of these two pieces looks so good. The wrap around skort with frayed edges and a front pocket looks like a DIY project gone right.
I can easily see myself in this look with my essential denim cutoff shorts, white tee, and white sneakers. To transition into the fall season, throw on this duster coat. Something easily done, but it would've never crossed my mind if it wasn't for Sandy Liang. Inspiration! ✨
