Something A Little Different

I'm the kind of gal who gravitates towards essential pieces. They're timeless numbers that will never go out of style. That's why button up's are one of my forever favorites. I love finding different ways to style them. This time, I left the shirt unbuttoned and loosely tucked into my skirt for a more relaxed look. To softens up the entire look of an otherwise clean and crisp button up, I opted for a velvet tank top with eyelash lace detailing. This goes to show.. if you play around with essential pieces and style it right, you'll have so many outfit options with pieces that will never go out of style.

While essentials are hands down the best investments for your closet, it's also okay to try something a little different. As subtle it may be, I love finding pieces that are unique because it turns an essential piece into something so much more special. A black skirt, for instance, is a staple in every girl's closet. Although I don't wear dresses or skirts that often, I was really drawn to this particular skirt because it's midi length with an asymmetrical hem and has a slit down the side. It has so much movement with every step and it definitely is the perfect twist to a closest essential. It can be dressed down with my favorite white sneakers or it can be dressed up with a classic pair of Loubs

I hope you enjoyed this post taken from Florence! Stay tuned to see my other outfits while I was there!
