Doing Things My Way

It seems like I've been having this conversation with a lot of my friends lately, so I decided to talk about it on my blog as well. People think that blogging is easy. Just because bloggers show a lot of the glitz and glamour in their life, it's not always the case. It's actually a lot of work composed of planning, shooting, editing, linking, emailing, etc. There's more work than you'll ever realize unless you actually blog for yourself.

Even so, there's something about blogging that makes me happy. I love feeling productive and being creative with my work. Blogging has shown me sides of myself and my work ethics in ways I would've never come to realize. I'm doing things my way and I'm still learning as I go. I'll do me, and you can do you.

Anyways, back to what you're actually here for... my outfit. I received this sweater from Romwe. Sweaters are an essential and staple piece in anyone's closet but what makes this particular sweater so much more special is the slit on the side. However, this sweater initially came with a lace insert that I wasn't quite fond of. Instead, I wanted to accentuate the slit and elongate my legs, so I decided to snip off the lace. The look became so much more edgier and attuned to my personal style. Sometimes I like to do little DIY's and make alterations based on what defines my style. I'm a huge fan of monochromatic outfits, but a great way to add some color in your outfit is through your accessories. I opted for my Chloe bag and matching pink reflective sunnies. This look can easily go from day to night, from office to date.
