Spring Blossoms in D.C.

Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.

I went to Washington D.C. recently with two of my best girlfriends in hopes of catching some early spring blooms (if you haven't already, check out my travel tips to D.C. here). Nothing feels more spring than some fresh blooms. Although we went relatively early, we were able to see some magnolia blossoms! So pretty. Flowers just make me so happy!

When I was packing, I naturally gravitated for lighter tones, more specifically, pink. If this was a few years ago, I would've cringed at the color... but now, I'm insanely in love with the color. For my outfit, I opted for this cozy oversized sweater and layered a lightweight moto jacket over it. If you know me, I can never resist a good moto jacket. While pink tends be more of a girly color, the detailing of the moto jacket spices up a regular plain old sweater and adds a subtle edge to the look.

I invested in a pair of white jeans recently and it goes with almost everything in my closet. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair but it never fit right or it was just wasn't thick enough. Luckily, I found the perfect pair by J Brand. It's a low rise cut with multiple rips at the knees. I think without the rips, these jeans would've been way too clean cut for me to wear. I'm definitely crossing my fingers that I don't get these jeans dirty too quick.

I hope you enjoyed this post. My Washington D.C. vlog will be up soon, so stay tuned!
